Frances Croxford

Frances has worked with Jane Wentworth Associates since 2006 as a brand consultant and account manager. Her clients include the Natural History Museum, Scottish Opera, Glasgow School of Art and Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust.
Previously, she spent eight years as Product Developer for Tate, working with artists and designers including Kit Grover, Ella Doran and Orla Kiely to create bespoke products to bring the Tate brand to life. She was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, organisation of design, production and sales of core and exhibition product. Frances has worked on exhibitions including Matisse/Picasso, Olafur Eliasson and the Terry Frost retrospective at St Ives.
Frances is a graduate of St John’s College Cambridge and has a Masters degree from the Courtauld Institute.

Clare Cumberlidge, Director, General Public Agency

Clare Cumberlidge was previously one of Britain’s leading independent curators and is an expert in inter-disciplinary creative practice. She specialized in developing new areas for artistic practice (pioneering the relationship between art and science and between contemporary artists and museology).
As a curator, cultural planner and art consultant she has wide-ranging experience on ground-breaking projects within regeneration and the public realm. Over the past 15 years she has developed innovative approaches to collaborative and cross-disciplinary work that involve creative practitioners in the built environment and engage the public with processes of renewal and change.
She has devised and delivered a number of national case studies in cultural practice and is a leading commentator on the future of cultural policy and practice and contributes in an advisory capacity to cultural institutions such as the RSA and Calouste Gulbenkian. Clients included The British Council, The Science Museum, The Poetry Society, The Architecture Foundation, Arts Council England, Institute of International Visual Arts, NESTA, Wellcome Trust and North Kensington Amenity Trust.

Emma has a wide understanding of the UK cultural sector. Before founding Courtney Consulting, Emma was Chief Executive of ABL Cultural Consulting in April 2007. She was responsible for a dynamic team of sixteen staff and an exceptional associate network.
At ABL Emma worked across a prestigious and diverse arts and heritage portfolio supplying audience development plans, marketing and brand strategies and fundraising and development strategies. This work incorporated complex research and public consultation methodologies and training delivery to enhance impact and effectiveness. Previously Head of Marketing at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, Emma was responsible for the strategic marketing and audience development of Northern Ireland’s only full time professional producing theatre during its £17million capital campaign. Emma initiated and implemented the first multi media strategy for the Lyric and her responsibilities in this busy department included Public Relations, Fundraising, Sponsorship and Event Management.
Prior to taking up her post at the Lyric, Emma worked for leading Public Relations company Weber Shandwick Worldwide where stakeholder engagement through creative research, facilitation and evaluation techniques underpinned all projects. She also delivered effective media relations and compelling brand campaigns to communicate key messages, raise profile, increase and diversify revenue streams.
