  • Create King's Cross in Successful Future Jobs Bid

We are thrilled to report that Create King’s Cross has been part of a successful Future Jobs Fund bid to create 68 new jobs in the arts sector for long-term unemployed young people.

The Culture Quarter Programme is being led by the Royal Opera House, and comprises a partnership of key arts and cultural organisations based in Central London. Our partners include the Design Council, English National Opera, ERCG (Exhibition Road Cultural Quarter), The Hospital Club, the National Portrait Gallery, Somerset House and the V&A Museum.

Each organisation will host at least one new member of staff, across a diverse range of roles which include event management, marketing, conservation, backstage support, fundraising, IT, box office, retail, visitor services and audience development. The initiative will also offer bespoke training and support for the new staff members, to help them in developing their own career path.

We can’t wait to welcome our new member of staff, who will be starting mid-March 2010.
